RCRMC Opens Third Critical Care Unit

Monday, October 1, 2007, marked the opening of the third adult critical care unit at Riverside County Regional Medical Center, ACCU3. The new unit, commonly referred to as “Unit 2B,” welcomed its first patient with a small ribbon cutting ceremony and much excitement amongst hospital staff.

RCRMC is pleased with its new equipment acquisitions and increased staffing to open this additional unit.  It is anticipated that the opening of ACCU3 will help to alleviate some of the hospital overcrowding and improve patient flow or throughput in the Emergency Department.
