National
Youth
Leadership
Forum
on Medicine
(NYLF/MED)
is an
extraordinary
10-day
program
offering
an intense
and stimulating
exploration
of the
field
of medicine.
Held each
summer
at renowned
medical
centers
in Atlanta,
Boston,
Chicago,
Houston-Galvenston,
Los Angeles,
Philadelphia,
San Francisco
and Washington,
D.C. it
is the
nation’s
foremost
program
in pre-medical
education
for high
school
students.
RCRMC
has been
a host
of the
NYLF/MED
for over
the past
5 years. During
their
most recent
visit,
Thursday,
July 13,
2006,
RCRMC
implemented
a 4-5
hour visit
for the
high school
honor
students,
which
provided
them with
an opportunity
to observe
and participate
in the
daily
operations
of our
facility. In
addition,
professional
staff
members
spoke
on their
careers,
offering
the students
the chance
to ask
a variety
of questions.
RCRMC will
continue
to educate,
inspire
and motivate
students
of diverse
backgrounds
through
mentoring
programs. |
