Welcome! As a volunteer for Riverside County Regional Medical Center Foundation’s FESTIVAL OF TREES you play an important role in the event that has become a tradition in the Inland Empire. Each year, dedicated individuals not only help bring the Festival to life, but also help the RCRMC Foundation achieve its goal of assisting Riverside County Regional Medical Center in providing quality health care to the people of Riverside County.
To accomplish our goal, we work closely with the community, volunteers, tree designers and sponsors. Our strength lies in sharing, partnering and cooperating with friends, neighbors, businesses and organizations. The Festival of Trees embodies this spirit. You are important to the success of this event…an event that is created by many, supported by the community and enjoyed by all.
The Festival of Trees is held at the Riverside Convention Center, on the corner of 5th and Orange Streets in downtown Riverside. Ample parking is available in the convention center parking lot. All volunteers must provide their own transportation to and from the convention center. Upon entering the convention center building, please check-in at the ticket booth located in the lobby. At check-in, all volunteers will be assigned to a work area. We will attempt to accommodate your preference in assignments, but please understand that volunteers are needed in all areas to ensure the success of the event. Food will not be provided however it is available for purchase at the Festival. While you are volunteering at the Festival you are representing Riverside County Regional Medical Center, please wear appropriate attire (no torn jeans, shorts, bare midriffs, short skirts, etc.). All volunteers must check in/out to receive credit for their hours. If a letter is needed to verify the hours volunteered, it must be requested by December 31, 2009. FLIP-FLOPS ARE NOT ALLOWED. You will be on your feet and should wear something comfortable. Cell phone use (calls or texting) will not be allowed during your shift, unless it is an emergency.
