department
of Food
and Nutrition
Services
is committed
to providing
quality
food items
to ensure
maximum
nutritional
intake
for all
patients. A
selective
menu is
available
to all
patients
upon request. Dietetic
technicians
are available
to assist
with menu
selection
and to
ensure
all special
requests
as well
as religious
and ethnic
food preferences
are honored.
Trained
hosts/hostesses
will deliver
meal trays
as scheduled:
Breakfast:
7:15
a.m.
–
9:30
a.m.
Lunch:
11:45
a.m.
– 2:00
p.m.
Dinner:
5:15 p.m.
– 7:00
p.m.
Each
patient
care unit
has between
meal food/snack
items
available
for patients
who may
have missed
a meal
due to
medical
tests
or procedures. Please
contact
your nurse
or hostess
to request
food items.
Registered
Dietitians
provide
medical
nutrition
therapy
as appropriate
to the
condition
and
treatment
needs
of each
patient. The
dietitians
actively
participate
in patient
care
rounds
and
performance
improvement
activities
to ensure
complete
nutritional
care
for
the
duration
of each
patient’s
hospital
stay. The
American
Dietetic
Association's
Nutrition
Care
Manual
is provided
here for
use
by RCRMC
health
care
staff.
Patients
requiring
ongoing
nutritional
care are
referred
to a dietitian
at the
nearest
clinic
upon discharge
from the
hospital. A
physician
referral
is required.

Café
RCRMC
is located
on the
first
floor
of the
Medical
Center. A
variety
of food
and beverage
items
are available
for purchase
by hospital
employees
and visitors
on a daily
basis. Hours
of operation
are as
follows:

a.m.
– 2:15
p.m.
Dinner:

p.m.

p.m.

Any/all
hospitalized
patients
choosing
to visit
the cafeteria must have
a special
permit and must dress
in a robe
and slippers. The
permit may
be obtained
from your
attending
nurse on
the unit. Patients
presenting
without
the permit
and/or not
in proper
attire,
will not
be allowed
in the cafeteria. |
